Dominican Early March 2024

This was our second trip with CTF Barrie and it was a doozy! There were a lot of newbies on this trip and we had a lot of birthdays and anniversaries to boot.

The house that we built was for Nelly and her family. They are one of the sweetest, most joy-filled families in all of Javillar. She is like a grandmother to so many people in and out of the village. Because we were so close to the river, the house was built up between 3-4 feet from where it previously was situated. It was so great to have so many new friends join us on this trip!

After the house was built, CTF Barrie put on a mini ILSOM retreat for over 100 people in Puerto Plata. This was the second time they had put on an ILSOM, and the people were raring and ready to receive.  We can’t wait until next time!
