This trip was one of our smallest groups, however it was just as poignant of an experience as the rest. The dental coalition was joined by 2 dental students from the University of Manitoba which expedited the wait for the dental clinic.
The construction team built a wonderful house for a beautiful single mom and her four children. Addie, the mom, was determined to begin her life anew after suffering at the hands of a physically abusive husband for years. We were happy to help.
It was also a pleasure to have our old friends, Phil and Karen from Mexico join us in our Dominican adventures. Their expertise and insight into our work in the Dominican, after almost 2 decades of service in Mexico, was quite helpful and encouraging.
