This was the first of our trips utilizing Frantzo, Sandra and our own Traci to organize and plan our projects. At this time, we moved our focus to the barrio of Agua Negra. There were 23 participants as well as Jonah and Isaiah.
A full dental clinic was held including a denturist who was kept busy all day every day making dentures. The clinic featured two dentists, hygienist and assistants.
Trevor ran a pastoral education program in conjunction with Frantzo as well as evening Crusades.
The construction team, along with a local crew of experienced workers, was able to construct a home for a family of four. Again, local volunteers assisted every day.
On the Wednesday, we were able to go to the village of Ascension to assist with the children’s feeding program.
We also spent a morning at the local dump assisting a group of people who make their living by salvaging items, particularly recyclables. After then distributing rice and beans to them, we returned to their village, La Union, to further develop our relationship with them.
