This past October half of Fort Group, a Winnipeg accounting firm joined our Shine The Light trip.
The View From Above
We had a large group of absolutely wonderful people join us from 4 provinces. We ranged in age from 1 to 70 (with that birthday being celebrated on our trip) and quickly became like family.

We are just less than a week out from the first Shine The Light trip of 2019! Dr Brent and the volunteers are getting excited - and for good reason - we will be building 3 homes for deserving families this time!

We just returned from the DR with one of the largest groups we’ve had to date...
Back To School!
The school year resumed last month at Nest of Love with a once again enlarged space. Another Canadian missions organization added a 2nd storey addition on top of the elementary classrooms. When we first started working with Nest of Love, the school was comprised of two one storey buildings. It has since doubled in size with two separate addition projects.

First STLi Trip of 2018!
Well, the community centre/training facility build was a resounding success and we had a group with whom working was an absolute joy. And now comes the tough part - making good use of the community centre to help change peoples' lives! This will be a big part of our first trip of 2018, along with the usual construction of homes for deserving locals.

After a week with a crew that worked extremely hard we were a bit behind schedule but were honoured to dedicate the Community Centre before leaving!
