Hello Everyone!
Well, the community centre/training facility build was a resounding success and we had a group with whom working was an absolute joy. And now comes the tough part - making good use of the community centre to help change peoples' lives! This will be a big part of our first trip of 2018, along with the usual construction of homes for deserving locals.
The dates will be Jan 31st - Feb 7th, 2017.
This is where you come in! We need volunteers to help us build some more homes, to help teach programs in the new training facility and to spread the word about what we are doing to those who are willing and able to come help us.
There's a good chance that we will have enough medical personnel to put on medical programs this trip and we're also looking for dentists to help put on a dental clinic, as it's been awhile since we have held one.
So, if you're able to join us, please let us know ASAP by emailing info@shinethelight.ca, as we are on the cusp of booking our first DIRECT FLIGHT to Puerto Plata from Winnipeg! So much quicker and NO LAYOVERS!
